Kid Sister's is a mentoring program for young girls in the South Dallas and Fair Park neighborhoods, offered by The Jeffries Street Learning Center free of charge. The girls, who participate in the After School Homework & Tutoring program at the center, meet with their mentors once a month.
Kid Sister's take part in a wide range of activities, designed to foster self confidence, cultural diversity, education, and of course.... FUN! Volunteer support is essential to the work of the mentoring programs at the center, and there are many ways to get involved. Volunteer opportunities include participating as a mentor, helping to prepare/sponsor activities and fund raising.
